FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Weddings are between 4-6 weeks and smaller sessions are 1-2 weeks. Depends on time of year and number of other projects booked at that time.

Without a second shooter, you can expect 75-100 images per hour. This HEAVILY depends on the flow of your shoot, if there is any downtime, etc. With a second shooter, you could receive the upward end of that range or more. I deliver as many photos as possible- I only withhold images if they do not meet my standards of photography. I will never charge extra for “more images”, you get all the good ones :)

I require a signed contract and a 40% nonrefundable retainer fee. This secures your date on my calendar. I cannot book without a date, unless you are purchasing a gift card. Your final payment is due on the day of your shoot!

While my company does not offer videography services, I highly recommend checking out Bandera Films. Bra and I love working together, he is the best of the best, and we even offer a 10% off discount if you book both of us for your wedding or shoot. He has options for vintage Super 8mm film videos and also your traditional digital wedding movies. We work together extremely well, which is important between a photographer and videographer!

My 8 and 10 hour wedding package include a complimentary engagement session! The main reason for this is I love to get to know my couples before the big day, and this gives us a great excuse to hang out and get comfortable. You also get to learn some poses before the wedding day, and it always makes the wedding portraits feel like a breeze! You can also add an engagement session on to your 6 hour package, or omit it completely.

Travel is free within 1 hour drive from Tacoma, WA! Further drives or weddings requiring a flight/hotel will accrue additional fees. For weddings, these are always already included in the pricing guide you receive. For other small sessions, we can chat about what may be needed as far as travel fees!

Second shooters can be helpful in two scenarios: if you and your partner are getting ready in two different locations that are far away from each other (and you want images of you both getting ready) or if you want your guests at cocktail hour heavily photographed. I am usually with the couple or doing family photos at this time. I do really well photographing by myself and I rarely find a second shooter necessary, but sometimes it is a smart move. Let’s chat!
